Arsenal vs Chelsea prediction

There will be fireworks when Arsenal and Chelsea take on each other in the final of the FA Cup. Both teams have been producing splendid showings of late and a lively contest appears on the cards.

Gunners eager to save the season

Arsenal were having their ups and downs in the 2016/2017 Premier League season and, as a result, they finished the campaign in 5th place in the standings. As a result, the Gunners failed to book their place in the Champions League and, no doubt, manager Arsene Wenger feels pressure ahead of the FA Cup final. The Emirates Stadium outfit set up a meeting with Chelsea in the Wembley Stadium clash by beating the likes of Preston, Southampton, Sutton United, Lincoln City and Manchester City, but they face an uphill task in Saturday’s clash against Antonio Conte’s troops. Arsene Wenger’s men are after their 13th FA Cup trophy, but they will have to prove their worth on the field. A man to watch in the home team will be Chilean superstar Alexis Sanchez, who is likely to leave the club in the summer transfer window.

Gabriel Paulista and Santi Cazorla are definitely sidelined with an injury, while Laurent Koscielny is out of contention through suspension. Centre back Skhodran Mustafi should recover in time to face Chelsea in the FA Cup final.

Blues eyeing “Double”

Chelsea experienced all sorts of problems in the 2015/2016 Premier League season under Jose Mourinho, but they have been producing terrific performances ever since Antonio Conte took over the reins. The Italian tactician helped the Blues regain the Premier League title and it remains to be seen if they are capable of winning the “Double”. Chelsea have been scoring goals for fun of late and they are likely to stick to their attacking style of play in the FA Cup final. Diego Costa is enjoying yet another successful season and the opposition defenders should have the former Atletico Madrid attacker at bay. Eden Hazard seems to be on top of his game as well and he is likely to pose a big threat for the opposition back-line. You should bear in mind that the Belgian footballer found the net in a 4-2 win over Spurs in the FA Cup semis. Chelsea won their last FA Cup trophy back 2012, with the team defeating Liverpool in the title game.

Ruben Loftus-Cheek misses the game with an injury, but there are no suspended players in Antonio Conte’s team. The Italian manager is likely to stick to the 3-4-3 formation.

Interesting facts
