Indiana Pacers vs Sacramento Kings prediction
Indiana Pacers will be looking to build on a thrilling 97-94 win over San Antonio Spurs when they take on Sacramento Kings at their Bankers Life Fieldhouse. Kings aim to put an end to their four-game losing run in NBA, but it remains to be seen if they are capable of shocking Pacers in Indianapolis.
The Domantas Sabonis effect
Indiana Pacers continue their life without Paul George. Nate McMillan’s men have been having their ups and downs in the 2017/2018 NBA season and in Paul George’s absence, Domantas Sabonis is the team’s key player. Indiana did well to bounce back from a 114-96 loss to Oklahoma City Thunder, with the team beating San Antonio Spurs at home at the weekend. Yet another summer signing Bojan Bogdanovic scored 15 points in the 97-94 triumph over Spurs and it has to be noted that he had 8 rebounds in Sunday’s game. Nate McMillan’s troops are determined to book their place in the play-offs, but they need to keep on raising their form if they are to finish the season in top eight in the Eastern Conference. Anyhow, Indiana are a real force to be reckoned with at home and they are definitely capable of beating out-of-sorts Kings at their Bankers Life Fieldhouse.
Domantas Sabonis should recover in time (illness) to face Sacramento Kings, whilst Myles Turner is definitely sidelined with injury (concussion). Glenn Robinson III remains in the recovery room.
Slow start to the season
Sacramento Kings made a very slow start to the season, but that is anything but unexpected. Dave Joerger’s men suffered a loss in each of their previous four games in NBA and they were totally outplayed by Washington Wizards in front of home fans at the weekend (83-110). Serbia international Bogdan Bogdanovic is undisputedly the brightest star in Dave Joerger’s team, but, no doubt, Rudy Gay is going to be sorely missed in the 2017/2018 season. Sacramento face an uphill task in Tuesday’s clash against Indiana Pacers and I do not believe that they are capable of shocking Nate McMillan’s team at Bankers Field House. Kings recorded their last win over Pacers in 2016, but you should bear in mind that New Orleans ace DeMarcus Cousins was part of the team back then. Taking everything into account, I do not believe that away win should be considered.
Zach Randolph is a major doubt and he will be assessed on the game day, whilst George Hill is definitely out of contention (rest). Harry Giles is sidelined with a knee injury.
- Kings conceded 110+ points in each of their last three NBA games
- Indiana are eyeing their third straight win over Sacramento
- Pacers are after their third home win of the season
- Domantas Sabonis has been averaging 13 points per game
- In their last meeting in Indianapolis Pacers defeated Kings in OT (115-111)
Indiana Pacers vs Sacramento Kings betting pick
Indiana Pacers proved their worth in the victory over San Antonio Spurs and seeing that Sacramento Kings have been totally out of form at the start of the season, I am tempted to put my money on the hosts, who emerged triumphant in previous two meetings with Kings in NBA.
Pick: Indiana Pacers – 5.5
