Inter vs Roma prediction
Out-of-sorts Inter will be aiming to put an end to their five-game winless run in the Serie A when they host Roma at their Stadio Giuseppe Meazza on Matchday 21. The Giallorossi have been struggling to find their best form of late as well, meaning that Sunday’s derby could be the turning point for one of the two teams.
Lack of confidence
Inter made a flying start to the season and many people expected that the Nerazzurri would win their first Scudetto since 2010. Luciano Spalletti’s men, suffered a dip in form in December and they have yet to get back on course. Inter failed to win previous five league fixtures and, as a result, they have slim chances of winning the domestic trophy. The Nerazzurri are nine points behind league leaders Napoli ahead of Matchday 21, thus they face a must-win game in Sunday’s clash against Roma. Inter have no other choice but to go all guns blazing at the Romans in the Serie A derby and, as before, a man to watch in the home team will be top scorer Mauro Icardi, who has netted 18 goals in the Italian top flight so far this season.
Zinho Vanheusden is sidelined with an injury, whilst Danilo D’Ambrosio is a major doubt and he will be assessed ahead of the match. Coach Luciano Spalletti has no other selection worries ahead of the visit of Roma.
Upsetting loss to Atalanta
Roma have been slipping down the Serie A standings week by week. The Giallorossi occupy 5th position in the table ahead of the trip to Milano and they need to return to winning ways as soon as possible if they are to keep their hopes of securing a top-four finish. The Romans are on a three-game winless run in the national championship and they suffered a shocking 2-1 loss to Atalanta at their Stadio Olimpico in their last league match. However, a win over Inter should see Roma climb to the Champions League berth and there is every chance the visitors will adopt an attack-minded approach in Sunday’s clash against Luciano Spalletti’s team. Edin Dzeko scored his ninth goal of the season in the 2-1 defeat to the Orobici, meaning that the opposition defenders should have him at bay. The capital club are eyeing their sixth away win of the season in the Italian elite division, but beating the Nerazzurri in Milano is easier said than done.
Defender Rick Kardsorp remains in the recovery room, whilst midfielder Diego Perotti is doubtful. Coach Eusebio Di Francesco is likely to stick to the 4-3-3 formation.

Inter vs Roma betting pick
Both Inter and Roma have been struggling in front of goal of late, but seeing that the two sides are desperate to return to winning ways in the Serie A, a lively contest is on the cards. Eight goals in total have been netted in previous two meetings between the two teams in the Italian top flight and, taking everything into account, both teams to score bet should be considered.
