Juventus vs Barcelona prediction
Barcelona will be looking to clinch the top position in Group D when they take on Juventus at Allianz Stadium on Wednesday evening. The Bianconeri have yet to book their place in the Champions League knockout stages and, no doubt, they are going to fight tooth and nail against Barca.
Ups and downs
Juventus kicked off their Champions League campaign with a heavy 3-0 loss to Barcelona, but they quickly got back on course, with the team recording back-to-back wins over Olympiakos Piraeus and Sporting Lisbon. Juve then shared the spoils with the Lions in Lisbon and thanks to the draw with the Portuguese outfit they moved one step closer to making it to the last 16 of the Champions League. The Serie A champions head into Wednesday’s showdown against Barcelona following a shocking 3-2 loss to Sampdoria in the national championship, thus they could be low on confidence in the Group D derby. Gonzalo Higuain found the net in the defeat to La Samp at the weekend and the Argentine attacker is widely expected to lead the line for the hosts against Barca. Anyhow, Juve face an uphill task in Wednesday’s clash against the high-flying Catalan giants.
Coach Max Allegri has no fresh injury worries ahead of the match and he is likely to field the best possible side against Barcelona. Di Francesco, though, remains in the recovery room.
Cautious approach
Barcelona have been producing scintillating performances in al competitions ever since Ernesto Valverde took over the reins. The Catalan side have already booked their place in the last 16 of the Champions League and they are only one point away from clinching top position in Group D. Ernesto Valverde’s men are on the right track to win the national championship and, no doubt, they are brimming with confidence ahead of the trip to Italy. Barca are on a four-game winning run in La Liga, but they are likely to adopt a cautious approach in Wednesday’s clash against Juventus. Leo Messi is enjoying yet another successful season and all eyes will be on the “Argentine Magician” when the two teams face each other at Allianz Stadium. Barcelona outclassed Juventus (3-0) at their Camp Nou earlier in the process and that is certainly giving fans a reason for optimism ahead of the Group D derby. Luis Suarez scored a brace in a 3-0 victory over Leganes at the weekend and he is likely to pose a big threat for Juve defenders as well.
Gerard Pique returns to the starting line-up after missing the Olympiakos game through suspension, while the likes of Dembele, Rafinha, Arda Turan, Sergi Roberto, Andre Gomes and Javier Mascherano are all out of contention with injury.

Juventus vs Barcelona betting pick
Juventus are eager to get their revenge on Barcelona for the 3-0 loss at Camp Nou, but seeing that Leo Messi and Co. have been in a terrific form in the first half of the season, I do not believe that home win should be considered. Taking everything into account, both teams should be happy with one point from Wednesday’s encounter.
