Liverpool vs Manchester City prediction
Liverpool and Manchester City face each other in the Capital One Cup final on Sunday. Both teams aim to save the season by winning the League Cup trophy and it remains to be seen who will have a reason for celebrations this time out.
The Kop have faith in Jurgen Klopp
By beating the likes of Carlisle United, Bournemouth, Southampton and Stoke City, Liverpool set up a meeting with Manchester City in the Capital One Cup final. The Reds, though, suffered a loss in the FA Cup, but it has to be noted that Jurgen Klopp mixed the squad in the clash against West Ham United. On the other hand, Liverpool did well to eliminate Augsburg in the Europa League last 32 and they will be looking to build on the triumph when they take on Manchester City in the League Cup final. Jurgen Klopp is eager to win his first ever trophy with Anfield outfit, but Sunday’s game against the big-spending team will be anything but a walk in the park for the Reds. Daniel Sturridge has overcome his long-term injury and the fans certainly have faith in the pacey attacker. Liverpool won their last Capital One Cup trophy in 2012 and no doubt the Reds will leave their hearts on the field in order to regain the title. Jurgen Klopp’s troops outclassed Man City at Etihad Stadium earlier this season and that is giving the fans a reason for optimism ahead of the Wembley clash.
The likes of Danny Ings, Joe Gomez, Martin Skrtel, Dejan Lovren, Joe Allan, Kevin Stewart and Adam Lallana are all likely to miss the game with injury.
Fine performance against Dynamo Kiev
Manchester City have been struggling in the Premier League of late. The Citizens were beaten by fellow title-chasing sides Leicester City and Tottenham Hotspur in previous two league matches, while suffering a heavy 5-1 loss to Chelsea in the FA Cup. Manuel Pellegrini’s men, though, gave fans some cheer in midweek, with the team beating Dynamo Kiev in the Champions League last 16, first leg. Man City produced probably their best display of the season on Wednesday evening and no doubt they will have to be at their sharpest if they are to win the League Cup trophy. Kun Aguero has been in a fine form in 2016 and all eyes will be on the Argentine forward when the two teams take on each other at Wembley Stadium on Sunday afternoon. You should have in mind that the Citizens have eliminated the likes of Sunderland, Crystal Palace, Hull City and Everton on their way to the Capital One Cup final.
Samir Nasri, Kevin De Bruyne, Wilfried Bony, Jesus Navas and Fabian Delph are all sidelined with injury. Eliaquim Mangala is rated doubtful, whilst full back Aleksandar Kolarov is banned.

The Reds have been in a fine form of late and, taking everything into account, both teams to score bet appears on the cards.
