Los Angeles Clippers vs Oklahoma City Thunder prediction
Both Los Angeles Clippers and Oklahoma City Thunder aim to keep their 100% records intact and, no doubt, there will be fireworks when the two teams take on each other at Staples Center in what is expected to be the most entertaining game of Wednesday’s program.
Three routine wins
Los Angeles Clippers chiefs managed to keep hold of key players in the summer and, as before, Los Angeles Clippers are considered one of the main favourites to win the NBA title. Doc Rivers is still in charge of the team and his men have been producing splendid performances this season. Clippers are brimming with confidence following three consecutive wins over the likes of Portland Trail Blazers (114-106), Utah Jazz (88-75) and Phoenix Suns (116-98), but Wednesday’s game against Oklahoma City Thunder will be anything but a walk in the park for the hosts. Chris Paul scored 24 points in the victory over Phoenix Suns, with fellow star player Blake Griffin adding 21 and the duo is likely to pose a big threat for Thunder in the Staples Center clash.
Paul Pierce and Brice Johnson both missed the Suns game through injury and they are unlikely to recover in time to face Oklahoma City Thunder on Wednesday evening. DeAndre Jordan has overcome his respective injury.
No Durant, no problem?!
As expected, Oklahoma City Thunder defeated Philadelphia 76ers (103-97) in the opening match of the season, but the team’s performance in the season opener was anything but brilliant. Thunder then recorded a hard-fought overtime win over Phoenix Suns (113-110) and the team impressed in a 113-96 victory over Los Angeles Lakers. However, despite the fact that Billy Donovan’s men have yet to suffer a loss in the new NBA season, it is more than obvious that Kevin Durant is going to be sorely missed in the race for the title. In K.D’s absence, Russell Westbrook will be playing the main role in Billy Donovan’s team and it has to be noted that he got a triple-double against Lakers (33 points, 16 assists, 12 rebounds). Westbrook will certainly take a lot of shots in Wednesday’s game against Los Angeles Clippers, but beating Chris Paul, Blake Griffin and Co. at Staples Center is easier said than done.
Coach Billy Donovan has no fresh injury worries ahead of the trip to Los Angeles and he can count on all of his starters for the Los Angeles Clippers game.

Los Angeles Clippers vs Oklahoma City Thunder betting pick
Oklahoma City Thunder are on a three-game winning run at the start of the season, but they will have a much bigger fish to fry in Wednesday’s game against Los Angeles Clippers. Doc Rivers’ charges have been producing scintillating performances of late and seeing that over the years they have turned Staples Center into a real fortress, I am tempted to put my money on the hosts this time out.
Pick: Clippers -5
Odds: -110
