Los Angeles Clippers vs Orlando Magic prediction
Los Angeles Clippers are brimming with confidence ahead of Wednesday’s game against Orlando Magic. Clippers are after their fifth straight win in the league and it remains to be seen if Magic are capable of making a miracle at Staples Center.
The Chris Paul effect
Los Angeles Clippers have been producing scintillating performances ever since Chris Paul returned from injury. The CP3 scored 19 points in a 98-86 win over Miami Heat on Saturday, while adding 18 assists. Chris Paul helped Clippers extend their winning run to four games, but they do not want to stop now. Doc Rivers’ men aim to keep on winning and with Orlando Magic next, they are likely to give fans yet another reason for celebration on Wednesday. Los Angeles Clippers are eyeing their 15th win of the season, speaking of home games, but the visitors should not be underestimated. Star player Blake Griffith has yet to recover from his long-term injury, but Doc Rivers has a number of top-class players to choose from. J.J. Redick impressed in the victory over Miami (25 points) and he is definitely capable of making life difficult for Magic.
Blake Griffin and Brice Johnson remain in the treatment room, while Austin Rivers should recover in time (illness) to face Orlando Magic. Coach Doc Rivers has no other injury concerns.
Magic failed to impress against Lakers
Orlando Magic sit in 12th place in the NBA Eastern Conference ahead of the trip to Los Angeles. Rob Henningan’s troops could quickly regain their spot in top eight, but they need to get back on course as soon as possible. Magic are on a three-game losing run in the league and they played below expectations in a 111-95 loss to Los Angeles Lakers. Orlando face an uphill task in Wednesday’s game against Clippers and it remains to be seen if they are capable of recording their first win over Doc Rivers’ team since 2013. Unlike previous years, Magic have been producing better displays on the road than on the travels this season and that is giving fans a reason for optimism ahead of Wednesday’s clash. Evan Fournier has been averaging 17.5 points this season and he will be the man to watch in the away team. Former Oklahoma City Thunder Serge Ibaka ace is enjoying a successful season as well (15.6), but it is well known that Clippers center DeAndre Jordan is protecting the key perfectly.
Coach Rob Henninghan has no selection worries ahead of the Clippers game and he is unlikely to rest his key players in Wednesday’s showdown.
Interesting facts

Los Angeles Clippers vs Orlando Magic betting pick
In Blake Griffith’s absence, Chris Paul will give his all to help Los Angeles Clippers extend their winning run in NBA to five matches. Considering that Orlando Magic do not seem to be on top of their game in January, I believe that there is a big value in betting on Doc Rivers’ charges, who are a real force to be reckoned with at home.
Pick: Clippers -9
