Novak Djokovic vs Roger Federer prediction
A place in the 2016 Australian Open final will be at stake when the two fierce rivals Novak Djokovic and Roger Federer square off against each other at Rod Laver Arena on Thursday. The two tennis aces are 22-all in career head-to-heads and it remains to be seen if the Swiss veteran is capable of shocking the world No. 1 this time out.
Nole eyeing his sixth Australian Open trophy
Novak Djokovic has largely impressed in 2015, with the Serbian superstar winning three Grand Slam trophies. Nole, though, failed to win Roland Garros for the first time in his career, but, taking everything into account, he enjoyed a very successful season. The world No. 1 is defending a lot of ATP points in 2016 and it remains to be seen if he is capable of winning his sixth Australian Open title. By beating the likes of Chung, Halys, Seppi, Simon and Nishikori Novak Djokovic set up a meeting with his old rival Roger Federer in the semi-finals of the Grand Slam tournament and it has to be noted that only Gilles Simon made life difficult for the tournament favourite. Nole impressed in the 6-3, 6-2, 6-4 victory over Kei Nishikori and he will be looking to build on the performance when he takes the court against Roger Federer on Thursday morning. In their last meeting on tour Djokovic defeated the Swiss player and that is giving his fans the reason for optimism ahead of the Australian Open semi-final.
Roger eager to win his first title since 2010
Roger Federer is still capable of producing scintillating performances at this level, but it has to be noted that he won his last Grand Slam trophy back in 2012. The Swiss ace clinched his last Australian Open title six years ago and he is eager to repeat the success. The world No. 3 has defeated the likes of Basilashvili, Dolgopolov, Dimitrov, Goffin and Berdych on his way to the semis, but he will have a much bigger fish to fry in Thursday’s clash against Novak Djokovic. Roger Federer has lost no more than one set at the tournament in Melbourne and his performance in Tuesday’s 7-6, 6-2, 6-4 triumph over Tomas Berdych was more than promising.
The former world No. 1 is after his fifth Australian Open title, but beating the Serbian “Joker” is easier said than done. Roger Federer recorded his last victory over Novak Djokovic in November, when the two players met at the ATP World Tour finals in London.

Novak Djokovic vs Roger Federer betting pick
Novak Djokovic is eager to overtake Roger Federer, speaking of Grand Slam trophies and seeing that the Serbian player impressed in the 3-0 victory over Kei Nishikori, I believe that there is a big value in betting on the world No. 1, who is eyeing his 14th consecutive win on tour. Australian Open is Nole’s favourite tournament and I do not believe that Roger Federer, who won his last Grand Slam trophy back in 2012, is capable of upsetting the tournament favourite.
