San Antonio Spurs vs Sacramento Kings prediction
High-flying San Antonio Spurs will be looking to extend their winning run to eight games when they take on Sacramento Kings at their AT&T Center on Saturday evening. Kings shocked Dallas in their last game, but Gregg Popovich’s men are likely to pose a much bigger threat for the visitors than their previous rivals.
The invincible Spurs
San Antonio Spurs were playing below expectations in the 2014/2015 NBA play-offs and they are eager to make amends for the unsuccessful campaign. Gregg Popovich’s troops have been impressive at their AT&T Center this season and they will be looking to keep their 100% record intact with a victory over Sacramento Kings. Spurs recorded a 94-86 triumph over New Orleans Pelicans on Thursday and it has to be noted that Kawhi Leonard led his team to the victory with 30 points and three assists. LaMarcus Aldridge produced a thrilling display in the win over Pelicans and the duo is likely to prove a handful for Sacramento Kings. San Antonio occupy second place in the Western Conference and they will certainly give their best to try and finish the regular season in top position in their conference.
Serbian giant Boban Marjanovic did not enter the pitch against New Orleans, but he could play some part in Saturday’s game against Kings. Manu Ginobili remains in the recovery room.
All eyes on Cousins
Sacramento Kings failed to make a comeback in the clash against Memphis Grizzlies, but they did remarkably well to beat Dallas Mavericks on the road on Thursday. George Karl’s men are still in the race for the place in the Western Conference play-offs, meaning that Saturday’s game against San Antonio Spurs is of big importance for the visitors. Kings have been producing fine performances on the road of late, with the team recording three wins in previous four away matches. DaMarcus Cousins is undisputedly the team’s key player and the power forward will have to be well guarded by the hosts. Cousins is averaging 27 points this season, but he scored 40 points in total in previous two games. It has been four years since Sacramento recorded their last win at San Antonio and given that Spurs have been in a splendid form of late, I do not believe that away win should be considered this time out.
The likes of Butler, Anderson and Curry did not play against Mavs and they are all pushing for recalls. Coach George Karl has no fresh injury worries ahead of the trip to Texas.

San Antonio Spurs vs Sacramento Kings betting pick
San Antonio have been producing excellent showings at their AT&T Center this season and the title-chasing team are determined to extend their winning run at home. Spurs do not suit Sacramento and I do not believe that they are capable of recording their first win at San Antonio since 2012. In their last meeting Spurs recorded a routine 108-92 win over Kings.
Pick: San Antonio -12
Odds: -110
