Washington Wizards vs New York Knicks prediction
Washington Wizards will be aiming to record their fourth straight win in March when they welcome New York Knicks at their Verizon Center. The capital club have been impressive at home of late and it remains to be seen if Knicks are capable of claiming a major scalp on Saturday evening.
Eight wins in last nine home games
Washington Wizards are desperate to make it to the Eastern Conference play-offs. Randy Wittman’s troops are sitting in tenth place in their conference, but they are certainly capable of regaining their spot in top eight. Washington have been in a fine form of late and they will be looking to extend their winning run to four games when they square off against New York Knicks on Saturday. Wizards are a real force to be reckoned with at home and the fact that they recorded eight wins in previous nine home fixtures, while losing to Indiana Pacers by one point, is giving the fans a reason for optimism ahead of the visit of Carmelo Anthony and Co. John Wall scored 45 points in previous two games, meaning that Knicks should find it hard to contain the 25-year-old player.
The likes of Eddie, Gooden, Hickson and Oubre did not enter the court against 76ers, but the quartet could return against New York Knicks. Coach Randy Wittman has no fresh injury worries ahead of the game.
Yet another season to forget
New York Knicks failed to book their place in the 2014/2015 NBA play-offs and, as things stand now, they are likely to miss out on their place in the play-offs for the second consecutive season. Interim coach Kurt Rambis and his men occupy 13th place in the Eastern Conference and they have recorded six wins less than Chicago Bulls, who are sitting in eighth position at the moment. New York were not capable of matching title holders Golden State Warriors on Thursday (85-121), but you should have in mind that they recorded two wins in previous four away games, with the team beating Los Angeles Lakers and Phoenix Suns on the road. Carmelo Anthony is undisputedly the team’s key player and all eyes will be on him when Knicks take on Wizards at Verizon Centre. You should have in mind that Melo is averaging 21.8 points this season.
Lance Thomas missed the Golden State Warriors game with injury and he is unlikely to recover in time to face Washington Wizards.

Washington Wizards vs New York Knicks betting pick
Both teams are eyeing a place in the NBA play-offs, but Washington Wizards have been in a much better form of late than New York Knicks and that is one of the main reasons why I am tempted to put my money on the hosts this time out. The capital club have been impressive at home ground in 2016 and seeing that coach Randy Wittman can count on all of his key players for Saturday’s clash, Knicks are likely to return home empty-handed.
Pick: Washington -8
Odds: -110
